Certificate I Units include:
ork with colleagues and customers, Work in a socially diverse environment, Follow health, safety and security procedures, Develop and update hospitality industry knowledge, Follow workplace hygiene procedures (food safety level 1), Prepare and serve non-alcoholic beverages, Process financial transactions
For Certificate II, complete Certificate I Units and add the following:
Communicate on the telephone, Prepare and serve espresso coffee, Provide responsible service of alcohol (RSA), Provide responsible gambling service (RSG),
Apply hospitality skills in the workplace*.
* This last unit is on-the-job and requires 12 service units. A service unit is serving customers in a licensed venue. The service units are to be made up of differing times—breakfast, lunch, dinner—and for differing occasions— normal meal service, function catering, wedding.
